Stop giving Daniel HS kids walk on offers

There are many studs from 5A state-championship caliber schools like Gaffney, Byrnes, Summerville, Dutch Fork, etc. that go unrecruited but look like dawgs when they play in high school. Maybe if we give some of these guys chances instead of Daniel non-factors, we will have somewhat more depth.

Byrnes and Gaffney both have wins over both SC and NC powerhouses, and Summerville is looking like the best team in the state right now. Maybe Dutch Fork since they're having an off year.

Those are 5 A schools, Daniel is 3 A. Those schools like Gaffney and DF would beat Daniel into the ground.

I played at Daniel and we beat 4 and 5 A teams every year, I agree it makes a difference but not that big a difference. I mean we had Nuk Hopkins, Shaq Lawson, Jarvis Jenkins, Desean Williams, Javis Austin, Kyle Young. There’s been a lot of really good Clemson players come from Daniel. There has also been a ton of throw away scholarships given to kids because their mom or dad works for the university

But you never unless it actually happens. I would have much rather have recruited an in-state guy who's balling out at a GO5 or FCS school than your average Daniel HS walk on.
