in Beaufort SC this glorious Friday morning as I rode my bicycle 1st time in over a year (installed new tubes & tires).

Yesterday I posted pics of house from waterside as I boated by it.

PS: For those wanting to find house, it’s at dead end of Lauren St near water’s edge.

All grammar police need to take a hike. Just because you know how to spell words better than anyone else does not give you authority to correct someone's spelling. Are we back in the 4th grade ?

One of the very last casualties of the RevWar. Fighting had stopped almost everywhere. Iirc the story, the Laurens family decided to cremate JL’s remains with a floating funeral pyre, set adrift in the upper Cooper River to burn. JL’s head became detached from his body and fell into the river and was never recovered.

We lived in Beaufort from 83-86. Big Chill had just come out

Our favorite watering hole/restaurant was the Steamer, on Lady’s Island, just past Gay Seafood. The Steamer had the best burgers around and had become a hangout for the Big Cill crew and cast. One of the cast members, memory foggy now, had just married a local young woman. There were many framed photos on the wall of merriment at the Steamer. Good times!
