Speaking of weight loss...

I've mentioned before that I'm around 125 lbs soaking wet. I don't eat healthy at all (lots of fast food) and don't work out.
I suggested, and my wife agreed with me, that some time a few years from now, I'm likely to start gaining weight, around the belly. My Dad was really skinny like me as a young man and went through that same process.
I told her that I wouldn't let it happen, that if I had to, I would do what it takes to not let myself go like that.
Am I just talking a big game? That's going to be pretty hard to do, won't it?

If you are sedentary now and eat terrible (i.e. fast food)

it will be difficult, but not impossible. It depends on your determination, motivation, and how much you have the spare tire.

I was a stick and could eat as much as I wanted of what I wanted until I hit 40 and now it seems like no matter how good I am with my diet I can't get rid of this pot
My problem is I've never been into exercise so that part is real hard for me

forward to that reality. Not a fatty like most of the lunge, but I can definitely stand to eat better and that may be the motivation to do so.

Not in terrible shape, but my cholesterol was high as camel #### (not as high as my wife's though). We joined the gym immediately afterward and I dropped around 40# in two years. I've gained about 5 back, but I still run 25+ miles a week and go to the gym 2-3 times per week. The bloodwork was a real eye opener and scary to see it in front of you.

even when you work out and still eat the same, the weight still packs on. It's really all about what you eat. I've been on calorie count and have lost 20 lbs without much workout. I used to work out like crazy and still gained weight. So I finally found how I can finally lose weight. But keeping it off becomes harder and harder as you get older.

It's much harder to make changes later after you've gained weight. Start now and make eating better and exercising part of your daily routine.
