Speaking of shady, unaccredited Bible colleges...

Every time I hear about someone that went to one, I think about going with Joonyer to look at some kid's truck that he was interested in buying. The kid was trying out for Faith Bible Collge's QB position. They shared a practice field with a youth football team in West Charlotte. All the kid could talk about when he found out we went to Clemson was his good pal Germone Hopper. I could tell there was little coaching and almost no equipment for this 'college' team.

across the NY Post article. Joonyer sent that link to me the next week after looking at that kid's truck because we were so amazed that there was a college football team in Charlotte practicing the way they were. The youth teams sharing the field with them had more and better equipment. The coaches looked like they had zero training of any kind, it was a joke. We chatted with him about the situation, and this kid had sent tapes all over trying to get on a college football team, and ended up getting the Faith Bible College gig from a flyer on the street in Uptown Charlotte.

A few times a year I see that a D1 basketball schools is playing a game against one of these type schools.
For example, Bob Jones played USC-Upstate, The Citadel, and Georgia Southern this past season.

I think Bob Jones has SOME kind of accreditation though.

Pretty sure from what those kids told me that day, there were scholarships in the form of 'discounts' on tuition. The school essentially took these kids' money without really having an actual college.
