Spartanburg Area HS Football

I graduated from Chapman eons ago. I try to keep up with them from down here in Florida. It's hard without any subscription based news.

Question, they beat Byrnes this season but lost to Boiling Springs. I know Byrnes had a ton of turnover against them. Anybody know what happened with BS? How did they lose that game? Based on their record BS isn't very good.

I’m not sure what happened in that game but Byrnes and Boiling Springs went to OT last night. Seems like BS has been improving throughout the season.
Chapman has a real good team and so does Broome. I may try to go see that game whenever they play.

Gaffney has all Spartanburg area teams shook so bad it lends itself to unintended secondary results. Hard to focus on your opponent with them Indians living in ya head rent free 24/7 perpetually war dancing—

I’m a Chapman grad also. Many, many years ago. I can’t help you though. I’ve been watching them on line the last couple of weeks, but missed the BS game.

I don’t keep up with much HS football but we did go to the mauldin vs BS game where BS beat them 55-0. So there’s that.

From living in North Myrtle I can tell you that the new coach Matt Reel will instill physicality and a running game into Boiling Springs. Not a personal fan of his but he can coach. Downside is he will probably be there 4 years until he moves to the next biggest and best

BS is a legit solid team this year...

It sux for them because of the region they are in. They might be a top 20 AAAAA and not make the playoffs. It's really hard to take much from non region records...because you can go 0-fer in out of conference play, win two region games and You're in playoffs. More and more coaches use non-region to tune up before region. Region record is sole determination in playoff seeding.
