South Carolina home for bowling season?

Sep 29, 2014, 11:01 AM

So I was looking at the dirtpeckers remaining schedule, as it was posted next to the toilet at work and I was taking a massive Spurrier. It appears they play 2 non-D1 teams, which means they need 7 wins to go bowling. Just thinking... what if they lose to Tennessee, Auburn and either Kentucky or Florida. That would mean they would come into the valley 6-5 needing to beat us to go bowling. How sweet would it be to keep them in Cola for the holidays?

I'm taking a Spurrier right now as I type.

Let's wait to see if they lose to Kentucky first.

Don't forget to go Mangus as well

PS - If they lose to Kentucky can we all freak out about this? I feel like that would really be a great way to spend their bye week.

Vegas has the coots a touchdown favorite

I wouldn't have predicted that spread

No one trusts Kentucky yet.***

I usually hum "I'll be home for Christmas" when we have those holiday "get-togethers" and the coots are in abundance. It makes Christmas so much nicer.

I'm sure they're happy to get out of their trailer park too

Didnt there used to be a rule that...

Sep 29, 2014, 11:31 AM

you can count 2 wins over 1-AA teams for bowl eligibility once every 4 years? Seems like that was the case, not sure if it still applies though.

If they lose to UK this week, then they will be in a very tight spot....and a loss may very well happen.

If a bowl has a contract with a conference and the conference doesn't have enough bowl eligible teams based on the normal criteria, they expand the criteria to include 6-6 teams with two FCS wins.

I believe it is even called the South Carolina rule.***

Guys,
They only have 1 1AA team on their Schedule. South Alabama is in the Sunbelt and counts.
