For those of you who sit in the LOWER NORTH STANDS,
Oct 15, 2014, 8:20 PM
|
|
Section UM (I believe it was), within 2 to 4 rows from the top, just where you're underneath the overhang of the upper deck...
I MUST GIVE YOU ALL A SINCERE ROUND OF APPLAUSE...
I was seated in my normal seats, LOWER NORTH, UQ for the first half of the game on Saturday. At halftime, a friend convinced me to drag the wife over to his section (UM) where there were empty seats and watch the second half with him so we could discuss a "potential business venture" during the game (what the he77 was he smoking?!). With approximately 14:58 remaining in the third quarter, it started...That's when it all began...That's when I officially started to truly believe there might actually be a CLEMSON fan that I could hate with 100% of my cold, black heart...
Wait a minute...Not one...There were two of them...
It was a father and son duo...From this point forward, I'll refer to them as Josh and Dad...I think that's right...
Josh stood the entire time. Normally, I encourage such behavior, but not this day. There was simply no need to stand during TV timeouts and tell everyone within 80 feet that you should be calling the plays and that you could make those reads and throws better than Cole Stoudt. Yes Josh, we know...the Bubble Screen and Wildcat wouldn't be bad options with a QB who's seemed to have lost some confidence. But Josh, ole buddy, ole pal...I've never met you. I've just had the unbearable misery of sitting directly behind you and your paper towel chewing father while you dissected every single play at 114 decibels. I don't know you Josh, but from what I could see I feel fairly confident that following are true...You're 6'0", 151 pounds, have a bad haircut and more than likely wear TEVAS with a lobster belt to Church on Sundays. Your favorite food is Chicken mcNuggets and you probably once paid three hundred and twenty five dollars for a meet & greet ticket at a Taylor Swift concert. I'm thinking you can't throw a football farther than Cole Stoudt can Pi$$ and your Dad is in such denial over the fact that his son was born with the physique of PeeWee Herman rather than Vic Beasley that he's simply resorted to agreeing with your every statement regarding play-calling, route running and a Quarterback going through his progressions in an attempt to convince himself that you won't grow into an old man who sits around in tight purple underwear kicking one of your eleven cats.
Anyway, I'm rambling...
To those of you who've put up with this DUO for who knows how long, I salute you!
For if IPTAY decides to move me to Section UM next season, I may have to consider GARNET & BLACK!
P.S. JOSH, please tell your Dad not to yell. He sounds like Harry Carey!

I'm gonna use "{opponent's QB}'s favorite food is Chicken McNuggets" in my next QB bashing thread before playing a ranked opponent.

You should report this to the powers that be. We are so proud of our friendly, classy environment. They would not be happy with those goons making Clemson fans look bad. Can't hurt and might help.

This guy complained the whole time about everything: play calling, player decisions, etc. I could tolerate most of his complaints. After all, he paid (I think) the price of admission. But I took and still take great offense at the name calling of one of our players. I don't like our guys being called fools. Next time, I won't sit quietly while a kid who is doing what most of us in the stands can only dream of doing.
So when you see this gray-haired old couple being escorted out, you'll know why. My wife's kind of feisty; she'll want part of the action too.
Go Tigers.

Yeah , it gets to be a drag when fans berate the coaches , the players and the refs in the same sentence. You see it a lot these days , and not just at Clemson football games. Moms attacking refs at soccer youth league games , dads beating umpires for calling their kid out at home .

you will end up sitting too close to these type spectators. The only consolation is that you will hopefully never see them again and thankfully they are not your neighbors.

God - growing up a Braves fan - I loathed when

the Braves played in Chicago. That meant having to watch the games on WGN - using their camera technology from 1965 (this was in the late 80's-early 90's). Watching those games was like watching TV through wax paper. Then that moron screaming and carrying on every single play... A 100% foul ball and he's soiling his diaper screaming about how it may be!! Could it?!? oh - just a foul ball... Yea - no kidding grandpa, it popped up backwards. Which brings me to foul balls. That clown would pull out that net and try and catch them himself if they got anywhere close to his box. As a kid who's greatest days ever were when I snagged a foul, watching him do that would have me shooting lasers out of my prepubescent eyes.
