You are wrong here! Clemson does need to beg people to stay. So does UGA,BAMA,Duke(bball), Wake,Vandy, etc...
Recruiting has changed - you get recruited, you commit, go to school have a good season and have the opportunity to get re-recruited (back door/tampering) with bags of NIL $$$. Read the headlines everyday. Happens to the best teams too. That DL from UGA went to USC for $$. Look at LSU, the have a ton of basbeall NIL $$ and pick the cream of the crop. No other reason for Tommy Tanks to go there last year? Unless/Until the NCAA changes the transfer portal rules (sit a year) and they get a grasp on the NIL thing it's only going to get worse for all sports. Heck the #1 player in softball played at the #1 team and left.
