Somewhat serious question

Jan 5, 2015, 6:42 PM

Everett Gholston might be available to play immediately. Any interest in bringing him back to his home state and letting Watson get his knee 100% before playing again. Knee reconstructions are tricky things. Sometimes players come back quick, other times they struggle (Peake, Blanks).

A partial ACL tear isn't that tricky. It's mind games at

that point and overcoming the fear of cutting on it. Watson will be fine.

Not as a starter, but he'd be a greatup back up option

in case DW gets hurt. That way, KB and IT can RS... He reached out to LSU though for transfer.

Not a chance. Watson was a better QB with a torn ACL

than Gholston and from all the reports Watson is ahead in his rehabilitation. He'll be ready to go by the summer. I would love to have Gholston here as a backup to Watson, but I seriously doubt he'll go anywhere to be a backup in his last year.

He's not going anywhere to be a backup and I doubt we would sign a kid for one year (and get him in school) that has a major academic impropriety (ALLEGEDLY).

Agree. Zero chance of that happening.***

This knee thing works in Watson's favor.

Jan 5, 2015, 9:41 PM

He doesn't need to run himself to death and stretch out every play for every inch unless the game is on the line. I think nature just revealed this to him by showing him his limitations.

He can hand the ball off, stand in the pocket or run straight up the middle until his confidence in his acl returns.

Have you played sports?

Jan 5, 2015, 10:57 PM

If you're worried about hurting your knee, you're worthless. Watson has played the game the same way his entire life. When he comes back he's going to play the same way.

Good point. Many people are never the same after ACL surgery for whatever reason and history tells us Watson is injury prone. Not sure Golson would help though. He's not that good.
