The vandy job is a tough one. Morris would have one hand

tied behind his back there. Its not a fair fight for Vandy. Academics matter there. You have to fight against the lower standards of the other schools and their BIG $$$ boosters. Of all the jobs morris will be in line for, I just can't see him taking this risk.

I know Franklin had a little success, but I think his recruiting strategies were shady at best (which is a must in the SEC). Also, traditional SEC powers have been down lately and that will likely change.

I don't believe any reports I've seen thus far. I don't believe the info we have seen would have slipped out. Schools and coaches keep this stuff quiet. I think Morris will wait for a better opportunity next year.

I also am confident in Swinney making the right hire when he does go.

I thought we figured out that As long as the sports player meets NCAA standards the schools does not matter? Do you actually think Duke's basketball players are that smart?

School are willing to let in 83 dumb players (likely less than that) when they have over 15,000 enrolled.

NCAA. I think the ACC schools do not accept partial qualifiers even though allowed by the NCAA. The SEC does allow 1 or 2 per year I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

It will be interesting to see how this impacts Louisville

going forward. Louisville routinely takes unlimited partial qualifiers and JuCo transfers. How long before the ACC forces Louisville to get "in-line" with the rest of the league as it pertains to partial qualifiers.

They could let in players that low

But, those universities boards tend to heavily enforce rules on not taking a student that "would not be successful" at their university. UNC was letting in players that had no business at that school, put them in sham classes, and is now screwed. Duke hoops players aren't necessarily as smart as the average Duke student, but those guys come across like they probably could've gone to decent schools even if they weren't talented. Easier for K to pull in 3 elite, college material athletes than for a football coach at Duke or Vandy to get 20-25 that are going to meet requirements and be all Americans

Accepting the HC job at Vandy is a gamble for any coach....

If you are successful, it can lead to biggher and better opportunities but if you are not successful, it can completely derail your head coaching aspirations. Vandy is definitely a stepping stone type job but that next step could be in the opposite direction.
