to evolve to the changing landscape of college football. It does indeed appear that we're changing or morphing back into the Tommy Bowden type program. Instead of congratulating a quality opponent on a good game and then proceeding to highlight why we won, now we are coming up with reasons why we lost. Maybe Dabo's run is turning into TB 2.0. Sure feels like it.

OP's point that we are morphing back into Bowden 2.0 territory. Are we there yet? Of course not, the results far exceed Tommy Bowden's wildest dreams. But, with the acceptance of each successive loss, and no changes being made, we get a little closer.

Bowden never won the division. The comparison is ridiculous and you’re going to some serious mental gymnastics to validate the op and dispute the response.

I'm not putting a ceiling on anything. I'm telling you how real life works. Southern Cal was a powerhouse in the mid 2000s, then they fell off. Florida St was a powerhouse in the 90s, then they fell off. Alabama was medicore in the late 90s and 2000s. Florida was a powerhouse in the late 2000s, then they fell off. That's just the way the world works.
