Some exciting competition ..... please!!

Jun 12, 2012, 8:27 PM

I go to Clemson games for two reasons: to watch Clemson play and to see exciting college football (win or lose). Unfortunately the ACC can only satisfy my first reason. Watching Duke, WF, BC has absolutely no excitement value for me and most of the rest of the ACC is only slightly above these teams from an excitement standpoint. FSU, GT, VT, and Miami are the only teams that I actually look forward to watching play (and of course two of those teams are in the other division so we only get to see them play at home once in a blue moon). Whether or not the Big 12 is the right move from a financial standpoint, I really don't care - I just want to see consistently good football and we will NEVER see that in the ACC. Look at our 2013 ACC home schedule (Duke, WF, & BC) - OH BOY, I cant wait!! To me, watching Iowa State would be way more exciting then Duke, BC or WF (and yes, I would and will travel to Ames to watch Clemson play if we were to join the Big12). If all anyone wants to do is see Clemson play and win, then the conference realignment we should be pulling for is to leave the ACC and rejoin the Southern Conference - I bet we could dominate the conference and the FCS!!

Baylor is one of the worst teams in the history of College Football, and Iowa St isnt far behind. TCU was a mid major champion, just saying, its not always greener. If the U and FSU get back to piece of where they have been, the ACC will be fine.

The notion...

That asking for something new because it will be bright and shiny is not always the best reason to make a purchase

What i mean by that is our reason for leaving the ACC should not be about jazzing up the schedule. It should only be about getting away from the stronghold swofford has on the ACC. The financials would also be beneficial
