Some drunk here in Simpsonville knocked down a power pole

and about 1400 of us lost power for about 3 hours. Missed the heartbreaker game, bummer, but weirded out about 2 things:
- Why can't drunks get a designated driver or call a taxi or Uber to not hurt someone besides the property damage?
- The fact that there are about 1400 people in a 4 block area just off Main Street not far from downtown Simpsonville shows the insane population growth around here in the past 20 or so years.

I'm surprised it's not more than 1400 with all the apartments that have sprung up.

I know right. You live here too?

It's crazy around here on Friday and Saturday nights and weekdays during rush hours. We're like a suburb of Greenville/Mauldin now. I've lived here 30 years and it's changed drastically. Miss when it was kind of a small town, though we have more store and restaurant selections with all the traffic.

I hate driving in Simpsonville now. Fountain Inn is headed in the same direction.

So you live in Fountain Inn? It's about to blow up too.

The Yankee invasion continues. They're driving up real estate prices which raises our property taxes.

I live a few miles from Fountain Inn. It's the town nearest to me.

We had just finished our meal at Silver Bay. You can't imagine how concerned that outage made the restaurant owner on a Saturday Night.

Elect Dems in November and you will be experiencing black-outs on a regular basis.
