Some Big Ten expansion reports

First from Yahoo, which centered on Pac-12 targets for the Big Ten and a passing mention of some ACC teams potentially for the SEC:

Former ESPN and now Action Network insider Brett McMurphy did mention ACC teams as a possibility for the B1G in a confirming report.
"Last August, @ActionNetworkHQ reported B1G “vetted & cleared” Oregon & Washington to join league if it made financial sense. Those discussions slowed considerably during the commissioner change, but now have reengaged. Big Ten presidents considering UO & UW along w/Stanford & Cal, while also keeping an eye on if any teams leave ACC, sources told"

No mention of Clemson correct, but this could affect Clemson as the SEC may want to match that number of teams.

the small SC market is covered by Coots..
while FLA market is covered too which hurts the Noles, but not as much as us.

We all know the SEC would rather have Clemson than SC. The fact SC is already in the SEC means nothing.

the small SC market is covered by Coots..

Cootdom represents less than 50% of the small SC TV market, but todayTV looks at national recognition. Clemson is maybe #5, much higher than the coots.

I think that rationale carried more weight when cable drove the bus, not near as much now. I think that brand and ability to get eyeballs on the broadcast matter most. Otherwise, BC and Syracuse would be hot commodities now. Clemson and FSU move the needle and are anchor programs that TV execs pay for.

I think Clemson and FSU need to announce their intentions to leave the ACC before they'll get any public acknowledgment of interest from the Big Ten.
