So there's hope our offense can score on Wake

Or will our D score more?

Our D will have to score if we hope to win. Figure we can hold them to half their average. 25 or so maybe.

Have you seen anything from our offense this year that would remotely indicate we could produce over 550 yards of total offense, much less 250+ passing yards?
I definitely feel our ground game can compete as well as our D. Nothing more than hopes and wishes for an offensive output like NC.

I’d like to know the breakdown of passing for NC; how many passes were more than 10-20 yards and completions percentages. Let’s compare that to our accuracy and percentages. I’ve not looked, nor am I doing anything more than sharing an opinion, but seems to be our ability to throw downfield is inconsistent at best, as the QBR shows.

Separately, reading the posts on the board is curious. Why is it often the case that one either supports the team unabashedly and without any hint of criticism OR God forbid, someone makes an observation about areas that need improvement and they are deemed as coots or essentially told to FO? Ironically it reminds me of our countries politics-no room for discussion or civil discourse. One is either a hater or a sunshine pumper-get attacked if you don’t agree.

Grew up spending time with family in TR and Greenville. I’ve been a fan and follower since attending football camp when I was 10/11yo in 80 and again in 81-multiple generations of family attending, etc. Gone to multiple home games, bowls etc. and feel I’ve lived through some dark times and some amazing ones-including being able to go to the 2006 upset of TN in Chic fila’ bowl and the AZ fiesta bowl against Ohio State.

Why can’t we all be honest and say there are lots of opportunities for improvement, both in coaching and in player development? Highlighting those areas of improvement does not mean you’re a hater, it could actually be an example of, and, an acknowledgement of our recent past resume of amazing accomplishments and an acceptance of that as well as a justifiable expectation of consistent over performance and excellence-year over year. Would that be a normal expectation from a progra, that presents itself as being best in class and a staff that is all now making multiple millions of dollars-essentially a performance based pay increase?

Just because they are kids doesn’t mean they are off limits for critism of their play, or does one have to be a commentator and talking head to justify that?

Anyway, I wish nothing but the best possible outcomes for all, not just in winning the remaining games, but also in the coaching and recruiting.
Alas, it would be nice to have some actual accountability rather than folksy platitudes and deflections, but I guess, to regurgitate a tired and played put phrase, it is what it is this season.
