I learned something new this week.
I'm not much of a gambler so I didn't realize that rather than just betting on the outcome of the game itself, you can bet on games on an individual half-by-half basis and the point spreads can and often do differ per half.

I don't gamble, never placed a bet on a sporting event in my life so please excuse the naive question - is that really an option you can bet on? Whether the Anthem goes longer than programmed?

Yes. They are called prop bets.
Coin toss, individual player stats, the number of penalties, how many times Taylor Swift will be shown on TV etc.
Some people don't like it but it adds a element of excitement to the game.

Nothing specific as for me not watching. I just lost all interest in pro football years ago and haven't found anything since to make me want to watch again. It will probably mostly be a Taylor swift show anyway. That and the announcers trying to convince me there's nothing more important than the SB. Clemson spring practice begins soon. Much more important to me than pro ball.

I work with poker tournaments and hear poker players constantly talking about sports only their the lens of their personal bets. Not a fun way to look at sports IMO as someone who actually enjoys the sports themselves.
But with betting its always about their personal angle with it, talking about what they need to happen
