They let him off because he was O J...could have had a video of the murder, a signed confession and a dozen witnesses and they still would have found him not guilty

I wonder if the cop who kept the knife for all these years will be charged with anything. How could a police officer assume the case was closed? Unreal. LAPD must be one of the worst organizations in the country.

Related to the murders. During the time of Oj's trial they could have had a video of oj killing both people , dragging the bodies to the car and dumping them in the woods and yet he still would have gone free.
This was not a trial it was a circus. And at that time it was a racial trial. If oj had been a white male he would have been convicted in a matter of minutes. This was a struggle for racial equality. The jury was bound and determined that a black man could be acquitted in a major murder case in LA.
Plus the prosecutor's where a bunch of bone heads. For Marsha Clark it was a fashion show. It was the greatest reality TV show ever.

Actually the knife was found in the possession of a retired police officer who was working as a security guard.
The knife had allegedly been found - and turned over - by a private citizen during the demolition of OJ's home years back.
It absolutely does not matter if there's OJ's prints all over it and the blood matches the victims...not that there will be viable DNA after 20+ years, or that there will be fingerprints (considering the killer was wearing those bloody gloves that apparently did not fit OJ), because chain of custody after all this time is so incredibly tenuous that an assistant law clerk from Nowheresville, BFE could punch holes in anybody trying to make a case with it, especially since Habeas Corpus would prohibit any would-be prosecutor from using any of the evidence used in the first trial.
Interesting story, I suppose, but I can't see it leading anywhere...and I certainly can't see a prosecutor who'd touch that with a 10-foot pole.

that a retired officer said he got from some guy who said he found it on the property during demolition. If it had Nicole's picture on it it wouldn't matter. No string of custody and you can't try a man for the same crime twice...double jeopardy.
Doesn't matter, O.J.'s currently in a Nevada Maximum Security Prison getting his fudge packed by an aryan brotherhood fatso named Big Olaf for an unrelated armed robbery conviction.
Things have a funny way of working out.

It wouldn't matter if they found video of OJ trying to cut their heads off, they can't try him again. Double jeopardy attached as soon as the jury found him not guilty in the first trial!!! The jury knew, and the public knew that he was guilty of MURDER in the 1st trial. But bc the shrunken glove wouldn't fit after weeks of being soaked in blood, they said they must acquit bc the glove now wouldn't fit....
