So, does lattimore really come back and take another chance

Dec 5, 2012, 10:08 PM

Or was he just blowing smoke up everyone's butt? If I was him I would take my chances in the league.... Two season ending injuries would have me playing nervous in college ball.

Well if Robert Edwards came back, anyone can

Dec 5, 2012, 10:11 PM

His knee injury in the rookie sand football challenge was way grosser than Lattimore's. They thought they were going to have to amputate his leg. That being said, I'm pretty sure the N.F.L. threw Robert a bone because their stupid flag football game ruined his career. The N.F.L. doesn't owe Lattimore anything.

I agree***

But would you take a chance on him?

Dec 5, 2012, 10:13 PM

That is very very difficult to say for me, but if he was available in the last round.... maybe.

Personally, no. I could see the last thing you said happenin***

A team will definitely take a chance on him, probably round 4-5 depending on how his recovery is going. He was still ranked as #1 RB taken before his injury. He can recover from this just like he did his first injury. Teams took a chance on McGahee too.

Not quite the same, but the Raiders took Michael Bush in

the 4th round right after he broke his leg. They knew the first year he would be on the PUP list the first year.

It will be physically impossible for him...

Dec 5, 2012, 10:28 PM

To play next year. And if that doesn't convince him to go pro, he's not a very smart man.

He's got a 12 to 18 month recovery. Pretty sure he'll go to the NFL.

I don't think he gets drafted, he will probably go F.A.

Dec 5, 2012, 10:39 PM

He played parts of 3 seasons at USCe, and was never healthy, including 2 major knee injuries (1 particularly gruesome knee injury). Both his knees are shot, and the rest of his body tends to get banged up as well. I think he might get a look as a goal line back or something like that, but that kind of injury changes your life.

Sad but true, he probably knowa he came back too soon!

How do you figure he came back too soon?***
