have had no contact with the Big 12, but stress that the landscape of college athletics is changing very rapidly and they will do what is best for Clemson University going forward.
In other words, having never really even thought about it until now, look for them to put together a deal in record time and announce a move to the Big 12 in a matter of weeks. And everything you've heard so far about Clemson and expansion, no matter how accurate it turns out to be, is mere coincidence and all a pack of lies.

Things will still be put out to lead everyone to believe "no contact with the Big 12 has occurred". Remember last year the SEC had to back up and say over and over "we do not wish to expand" while A&M got all their stuff in order to leave the Big 12 first. It was all such a joke. A&M to the SEC was a done deal the entire time, but when Baylor and others threatened litigation it became necessary for all of the BS. That is what is going on now. Done deal for sure.

They might be voting the give the President the authority to make the decision to move to the Big 12. I think that's happened in other conference moving cases.

The BOT should give Barker and TDP the ok to make a deal after tomorrow, but still give no firm information to all of us big mouth fans. Be patient, Grasshopper.

the ACC if they want to leave. I'm thinking they wanted to keep this quiet a little longer but too much information is out there and they will have to go ahead and let the Tiger out of the bag.
