to baseball season. From Wilhelm through Leggett, we knew we were going to have solid teams and one's that most typically be in contention and make some noise in the postseason. Seems we could almost always count on the traditionally strong baseball program to carry us into the summer and make us proud.
Where this program is under current leadership literally makes me sad. I will not say 'embarrassed" but literally sad. Strikeouts and errors and poor fundamentals and questionable coaching decisions seem far to common nowadays.
When was the last time we won an ACC series?
Monte says, "we eat pressure like candy", but that sounds ridiculously hollow when watching this team play. We are not nearly the program we once were and have shown the capacity and tradition to be.
The issues we see in the program have been around and seemingly worsening over time. Granted, Notre Dame is a top 10 team, but it used to be where we would be competitive if not win these types of series. We were thoroughly outclassed by Notre Dame. We looked bad. Monte has been here too long to look so poor on the fieid and at the plate.
If things don't improve dramatically and we make some noise in the postseason, assuming we can get there, then my vote is that the time has come for change.

Monte had some success the first two years on the backs of players he inherited (such as Seth Beer and Chris Oakey ). Since then, it seems like a decline in the overall program. The lack of enthusiasm, and at time fundamental baseball mistakes is never excusable.
We haven’t won an ACC series since middle of last season. The competition has passed us.
Last year was the first losing season in my lifetime for a losing season and fear we may be on track this year for similar.
Unfortunately, Monte doesn’t seem to be the right leader for carry on our rich & strong tradition of tiger baseball.
