I am surprisingly ambivalent

Nov 7, 2012, 12:06 AM

ask me again in two years if Republicans don't gain a majority in the Senate or if they've been rolled by Obama and the Senate, and maybe I'll be more disappointed. As it is, I expected Obama's personality to be just about impossible for somoene like Romney to defeat, and I don't think he comes out of this with any kind of mandate- especially if Romney ends up winning the popular vote or if it ends within a percentage point.

there is no mandate either way, we will have over 30

governors and keep our huge majority in the house.

Nothing has really changed other then this, the Dems just won their last election with a generational personality or "mesiah" that odds are overwhelming they can't replicate any time soon.

Obama would need around 6,200 electoral votes for a mandate,

Right guys?

You guys are funny.

and don't understand the politics.

A mandate is totally different from a win. If you are facing a country that is equally divided you have no mandate, of course the electoral determines who wins the office but it has nothing to do with how divided the country's people actually are.

So about 6,200?***

compared to most politicians? he's ice cold

Nov 7, 2012, 12:13 AM

that appeals to younger people, and it gets people who wouldn't normally vote out to the poll.

the "cool" factor. Ice Cold is "cool" especially to the MTV

Does that help?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

that may be a sign that you're not very cool

no offense intended in that all. Personally I want the president to be an absolute square. Charisma, in my opinion, isn't a good thing in a national leader... except maybe in a war for your survival.
