married to Verizon and the divorce wood bee too expensive. My little brother raves about the Nexus and he is an android dork. The Apple5 is still on backorder and I can save at least $100 off the Galaxy S3.
My droid X has to be charged 3-4 times a day to function. It lasted a good 1.5 years and has limped along the last 1 year.

Had the HTC incredible before it and the nexus is much better. I am sure there are newer phones out now with nicer ####, but this one keeps me satisfied for now.

A big part of the issue here is phone subsidies
Nov 9, 2012, 9:41 AM
|

You can get a butt-load of Android phones for free with a 2-year contract. Most of the rest of the world buys phones straight up, no contract, at full price.
So, everywhere else, you can't play the ######## "I paid more for my phone so it MUST be better than yours" card because they all cost $600.

Apple has stricter standards to get apps in their store,
Nov 9, 2012, 11:08 AM

therefore, better overall quality of apps on Apple. It's easier to get an app on the Google Play store, and with so many more devices out there, it's only a matter of time until there are more apps for Android than Apple.
http://www.insidemobileapps.com/2012/09/26/tracking-growth-the-itunes-app-store-vs-google-play/
Also, remember that Apple had a pretty good head start.
Long story short, though, there are very few apps that are platform-specific.

Its an unlocked phone. Unless of course I don't know the intricacies of your carrier. If you can get a sim card it can go wherever you want.

Anyway the original point remains. The new model is coming out in a few days so I imagine the price of the galaxy nexus will dip pretty soon if it hasn't already.
