Does anyone know anything extra on this situation? Does it seem like it’s pretty serious or just an accident? Would hate to see something like this damaging his career if it was an honest mistake. Hope he wasn’t just being straight up stupid in the situation. He looked like he was going to have the opportunity to dominate up front this upcoming season!

I do not think this is something that will get him permanently kicked off the team. Think of how many cars/trucks ride through the campus in a day that have guns in them (legally). He just so happened to be a student. Now if it was not a legal gun then that is a little more serious. Also if he lives off campus it is his 2nd amendment right to have a legal fire arm if he has a permit.

History says Dabo would not kick him off the team but would likely be suspended for the 1st game which happens to be against UGA

numerous schools try to tamper and persuade him to transfer for big dollars.

Some Gamecock or Georgia Deputy in the Pickens county Sherriffs office probably got a tip (NIL money) and did exactly what you are saying. Not likely, but wouldn't be surprised if it did happen in today CF world.

Sounds like he may have a virtue signaling rat in or near his inner circle. Hopefully he learned his lesson(s):Never consent to a search and in addition fwiw:never confess to anything no matter how convincingly they insist it will be to your benefit and/or they will "help you out." 99times /100 they are lying & the 1 time is indifference not truthfulness
