For several years I played baseball with a guy named Robert Clark that played 6-7 years in the NFL as a WR and 1-2 in the CFL. He has lots of stories about his time there, but the one I remember the most was his introduction to Ronnie Lott. Pre-season of his rookie year he splits the seam and gets behind Lott for a TD, then made the mistake of jawing at Lott and spiking the ball in his general direction. Next possession Lott baits the QB into throwing to Robert on a similar route. He woke up about 2 hours later in a hospital. And of course, no penalty for that stuff back then.
