You have to be kidding. Yea - Rome wasn't built in a day; however, with every block that was laid, it got better!!! Five years is enough! A new arena won't affect coaching!

recruiting. We haven't had much in the ways of consistent scorers. WE get open shots and we do all the little things right...we just don't have a guy who can consistently break the scoring droughts we go through. The only thing I see in the ways of things they can maybe try to do better in coaching is get guys better positioned to create contact and get to the free throw line more often. This sometimes can spell scoring droughts. But the problem there again is we don't really have any pure drivers to the bucket or good enough ball handlers or shot creaters. It seems that if we ever do break to towrd the bucket our guys get trapped or get the ball defected away. So again...its all about recruiting. I think Purnell recruited well but wasn't a very good basketball coach evidenced by little things/free throw percentages and by the fact that we never moved in tournament ball when everybody is playing better defense. His philosophy was just play fast and lets see what happens...got us some recruits but not much thereafter.
BB has the makings of a efficient coach but he needs to get some momentum on the recruiting trail somehow. The improved facilities is a start.
