He wanted more money than he was making ($60/game), and the Braves weren't happy that he'd failed to show up for some of his scheduled appearances the previous year.

It is a sad day for Braves fans who remember the great Chief. He was awesome person and brought so much enjoyment to many.

That is sad. I used to love watching Chief Noc-A-Homa dance around the teepee when Hammerin Hank was blasting home runs. RIP Chief.
