Retractable Hydraulic Howard's Rock

Let it nest underground until the bus stops at the hill and the players start walking through the gate. Then have it slowly rise from the ground. This would add to the build up and pageantry and mysticism of the rock. It is obvious we can't just leave it out to have people continue to attack it.

It sucks we need to do stuff like this because i know alot of people like to go to the stadium The day after the game to take pictures but with all the vandalism attempts it needs to be done.

prevail ? do we not we have the money to provide security for a piece of our history ? i hate to equate this to the terrorists, but if we live in fear,and we change for their sake, do they not win ? i say just put some money into security for our iconic rock.

I Don't think protecting it further is hiding it, making it less accessible maybe but it's not out of fear, rather preservation. Hey if you break it out on game day and leave it displayed the next day with a guard that might be a happy middle ground. I think having the stadium rumbling like an earthquake as it rises from the hill would be awesome!
