I'm his son and I have never publicly campaigned for him to be inducted, and am not doing so now. I will say this though. This September it will be 10 years since his death. 10 years ago I stood in TDP's office and was told something would be done to honor him. 10 years later, nothing has been done other than an award for the basketball team that has since been cancelled and the day he was honored at the game after his death. He was never a university employee but for 35 years, other than the head coaches in football and basketball, he was probably the most recognizable face associated with Clemson University. He was an ambassador for Clemson and turned down higher profile jobs to stay at Clemson. He was of a time when 4 year degrees were the exception, not the common place thing they are now. If the rule is hard and fast as it appears, then he does not warrant induction in to the ROH. But after 10 years, something should be done to honor his service to the school and it's fans. In the many years before ESPN and all games on TV, he was the Clemson families connection to there team. Yep, I'm a little prejudiced in this matter. But he deserves something. Anything.
