Recent Japan earthquake connection to Clemson tennis senior

So if you’ve been following international news you have seen the 7.6 earthquake (and subsequent many other earthquakes) near Japan.

Clemson men’s tennis senior Ryuhei Azuma is from Ishikawa prefecture (peninsula on inner west coast of Honshu) , which is the region that was very close to the epicenter of the quake and has been the most impacted region with damage and casualties.

I don’t know if Azuma was back home over there for Christmas break as this happened, but I hope he and his family have avoided anything major.

Article from a couple years ago about him if you aren’t familiar. ^ he has been our top player for two years now and is expected to be an important piece to the team this year. He has always been a good sport to opponents, which is not something every college tennis player can say.

So take a moment to think about/pray for one our Tigers who im sure is having a tough few days based on the damage to his hometown area alone.
