Realistically, how good is

The American Conference and do any of their teams have a chance to break into the playoff picture. Temple and Navy both have only one loss, both to a top 10 Notre Dame. Houston is still undefeated as is a Memphis team who happened to beat ole Miss. What if the Rebels were to somehow win the SEC. Memphis would then have beaten the SEC champ. The AAC championship game looks to be setting up to be one of the best championship games of the year with 2 undefeated, highly ranked teams going head to head. I would have to think that a couple losses by a couple bigger conference champs, if that happens, would have to begin to turn some eyes to a Memphis team if they finish undefeated.

It would take some losses by power 5 conference champions, but I think it's certainly in the realm of possibility. I think it also hinges on how Memphis does down the stretch. If they remain unbeaten with impressive wins over Houston and Temple they certainly have a shot...

Memphis, Houston, and Navy are all same division

So at least two of those teams are going to have at least 1 more loss. The winner of that division would go on to play Temple from the other divisions, unless Temple falls apart. Still would shape up to be a pretty good championship game.
