Spectrum and watching the games .

Sep 2, 2023, 7:23 AM

Did the FUBO thing last night so I could watch the ACC teams play. The GT game was pretty good.

While I was looking at the slate of Saturdays games I noticed something, as far as ACC games or other mildly interesting
match-ups there are really no games Saturday on ESPN I would watch anyway. The “good” games are all on regular network programming.
So if you are looking into a free trial streaming service wait until Monday to sign up so you can watch next weeks games on the trial before it runs out. I will have to cancel FUBO and use another trial next week.

The Venebles game is on ESPN. The Deion Sanders game, the Oregon St game, the Freeshoes LSPoo game and the Coot/Holes game are all on other Networks.

That’s my feeble take on things.
Also if you are thinking of going the FUBO route they do not support 5.1 audio. If you want surround sound sign into the ESPN app using FUBO as your service provider.

Disney owns ABC, didn’t it get pulled from Spectrum too?

In Upstate SC, ABC is WLOS which is Sinclair Broadcasting, not owned by Disney, so WLOS is still on Spectrum.

But from what I've read WLOS was pulled from Hulu Live, which is owned by Disney.

So it's all messed up.

I'm trying Youtube TV for the free trial period, so far it's not that bad.

Trying to set it up for my elderly parents and explain to my Dad how to use a fire TV remote is the worst part so far.

Spectrum is no longer worth the money for what you get. I cut the cord and and going with 2 or 3 different services and will get more channels. Pluto TV is free if you like some of the older shows.

Good luck to everybody trying to find what works for you. The corporate giants enjoy stepping on the people that pay their bills.

Youtubetv and you will not miss any games. And it's a 2 week free trial. Sign up for football season cancel in January after the championship game. Go in with a buddy and split the cost

Yes YTTV would be best.

Sep 2, 2023, 8:39 AM

I did not do YTTV because I have used the trial already.

Just set it up, 21 day free trial

No more cable here, these negotiations might end soon but the cable bill will continue to go higher.

I think the monthly charge is $72.99 which is still $60 less than Spectrum cable.

Not sure about FUBO, hope you like it 👍

21 day free trial through YouTube TV. Might cut the cord and go full time after 3 weeks!

I am sick of Spectrum, ESPN and Disney ripping people off with their excessive fees. You can several subscriptions cheaper than you pay for Spectrum. And with Spectrum you get noting worth watching. Good by Spectrum and if necessary ESPN-sec network.
