People have every right to believe what they want and to openly and freely express those beliefs. People have the right to peacefully assemble and protest. That can certainly include yelling and screaming, and often inludes vulgar, and sometimes even threatening language, and even "pushing police", without any repercussion whatsoever.
While assembling and/or engaging in protest, people do not have the right to break laws or engage in violence. People do not have the right to storm the capitol for any reason, much less in an attempt to overturn an election. None of that can be tolerated or minimized. Those who do these things must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
The only gray area here is what to do about the yelling, screaming, vulgar and threatening language, and "pushing police". While those things may be tolerated to some extent in the streets around America, situational context is important, and the fact that it was happening on the capitol steps during the confirmation of an election makes a difference.
Many Americans obviously support Trump, and share many beliefs with Southard-Rumsey. That's their right as Americans, and they should not be targeted or threatened by government in any way because of it. Rather, government must protect that right. Those Americans do not, however, have the right to storm the capitol or engage in violence based on those beliefs.

I tried to make that distinction clear.
American citizens have the right to assemble and peacefully protest, which can include holding signs, chanting, screaming, yelling, singing, dancing, marching, etc..
American citizens do not have the right to break laws when protesting or "storming the capitol". They cannot disobey, ignore, push, or assault police. They cannot break windows or crawl through them after breaking them. They cannot forcibly enter the capitol in any way, including forcing open doors and forcing their way past police and security personnel. They cannot be inside the capitol at certain times. Some people did all of that while "storming the capitol".

What of those large numbers of J6 protesters who were, in effect, invited to enter the Capitol Building when Capitol Hill security personnel voluntarily opened the security gates? If scared, then why didn’t the security personnel run and make the protesters push over the barriers or crawl over them?
We never hear of any rational explanation as to why security personnel, supposedly in mortal fear, didn’t run, but instead opened up the barriers as a butler would open the door for invited guests to enter the private interior of an estate.
The door gets opened for someone, then they walk in.

I am making no argument regarding if or why people were invited or welcomed in, but I will say this: While it's possible, I suppose, that some people were oblivious to the violence and forced entry that occurred initially, and could have walked up after the fact and seen people just walking in and therefore thought it was okay to go in, I find it hard to believe that most people didn't know they should not have been in there. I think most really believed they were part of some powerful movement and history changing event, and knew they should not have been in there, even if they didn't have to force their way in.

Sums it up pretty nicely.
She crossed a whole bunch of lines. And just from a pragmatic standpoint, going on a rant against the system and the judge's authority and showing not just zero remorse whatsoever but also that she absolutely was a threat to continue or escalate her behavior pretty much guaranteed the judge was going to throw the book at her.
You don't do that in traffic court if you're smart, doing it in a criminal trial seems...uhm, ill-advised, let's say.
