This strange, familiar feeling I have…

I recognize it. It has just been way too long since I had it…hope spurred by a talented qb who wants to play football. This is exciting.
He should’ve been qb1 after he rescued the team in the 2nd half against Syracuse.

Interesting interviews for sure. Love how Randall is excited and thinks that he and his QB will have that special connection on the field. Also found it interesting that Randall said he's seen what Cade can do in practice all year.

Yep, more than obvious to most that Dabo couldn't release from DJ

when he needed to and it cost him at least one loss for sure since every opponent was loading up the box and daring us to throw, short or deep!
Well, it's Dabo's legacy he messed up and no one else's but team suffered from the loss.

LBB , with all due respect, no one knows if Cade just had the game of his life or not. Time will tell but even if he had played we still could have lost. His time has come to prove himself but it doesn’t mean our losses were sure fire wins if he had played. Even TL and DW lost some games.

Cade could not have done worse than DJ did in SC game. Especially the 2nd half.
But, I also agree that we need to see what Cade does in 3 or 4 games to know if he is our next lights out qb.

I would have opted for Will Spiers at quarterback over what I saw from DJ that day.

To be fair Trevor only lost 2 I can remember. Natty game and the OSU bowl game.
If the stupid covid rules were in place, Trevor would have played the notre dame game. I think we win with him even when dj played his best game.

Guessing our other 5* besides Cade would have done better. DK obviously wasn't even a good manager as he couldn't get a first down in the second half. Hunter Johnson, 3 seasons at Clemson and 2 at Northwestern, I am sure Hunter Johnson could have managed the game well enough to take time off the clock vs 3nOuts like DJ.
There is only one excuse to our loss to Coots, that is Mr Dabo Swinney! Dang that is horrible and something I never expected to say about him. But it's not that he lost the game with last second playcall, poor clock management at end of 4th qtr, nothing obvious. It was the lack of coaching for a half!!

I still believe that Dabo cost us a trip to the CFP - and that he should have known that Cade was ready.
BUT, I re-watched the USC game yesterday (ugh, it was painful) and I hjave to admit that I really could not see a point at which I said - NOW is when he should have put Cade in. Despite DJ's passing stats, and USC loading up the box, we were moving the ball pretty well. We had mistakes that kept putting us behind the 8-ball, but they were not all DJ's fault.
And at the end, we were poised to win the game with a field goal. Two first downs were all we needed to get in range and we had over two minutes to do so. The fumble was just another mistake - that cost us that chance.
Again, I think we should have known that Cade was the superior QB, but I just couldn't find the place where it was obvious that he should replace DJ.

... after that ND game, we all thought DJU was the second coming of TL or DW.... we need more than one incredible game from Cade before I start placing bets ?
Burn Dabo once, shame on.... oh wait....

Heads are now out of the sand, through no wisdom or insight from our coaches. We have a QB and a functional offense again. I’ll take his occasional mistake without issue rather than the norm being mistakes with the occasional good throw. We’re Clemson again on offense, and our D is thankful as well. The future is bright, the dark cloud has passed.
