Judge Keller once said that it is “laughable” to think Mike Young is a better coach than Brad Brownell. If we should win, all we have to do is point out that a dramatically inferior coach already won it. Therefore it must be meaningless.

If we did win the ACCT they would have earned the right to act a little foolish. It has been kind of a rough season all around for Clemson Athletics this year. If we were to become the reigning ACC Champions in Football, Basketball, and maybe even Women's Softball, that would heal a lot of wounds.

I really just don't get it. Any discourse regarding BB automatically devolves into name calling or your devotion to Clemson is called into question. This, to me, isn't about this year. Which is a very good one by anyone's standards. And for whatever the reason. Whether it's because of all the great things we are doing or all the bad things are opponents are doing. What it's about is the previous 12. And before you start rolling off all the stats (I've seen them in every other thread) allow me to make this point.
The ACC Network ran a docuseries on the history of the tournament. Of the 10 parts, I think Clemson was mentioned in episode 9. Several pages back there was a thread of good memories of the tournament. I have none. I always have enjoyed watching the ACC Tournament. Great games to be sure. But my Clemson memories are those of being Tobacco Rode. And we remain the only founding member of the conference not to have won their own tournament. Expansion members Va Tech, Notre Dame, Miami and Fla St have won it.
I would love to get this off our plate. Could be this year. Could have been a lot of years. Whether or not BB is the one to take us to this promised land I, for one am not so sure.
