You ufcking people are such a joke.

Because you see something that says SECRET now you want someone in jail.

These are paper documents that went nowhere. There is no assertion that copies were made and certainly no proof.

Do you have a clearance? No, but I have had one for 30 years, so stf up when you don't know what you are talking about.

Who needs to be in jail is HRC for doing MUCH WORSE and having it proven and confirmed by Comey. She sent and received many 100s of classified documents, but the worst part is both China and Russia were on her server AND GOT IT ALL.

So if you are so worried about national security, then why are you not concerned with every email the Sec of State sent or received, including classified emails with classified attachments, having gone overseas?

You people are so ignorant you can't get out of your own way.

Dude is gibbering like T3 crashing off angel dust.

In between his ranting and raging and cursing, all he's doing is saying "I had a clearance for 30 years and this makes me absolutely right about everything"...phew. And then he comes on a message board forum designed expressly for people to talk about politics, and screams that we all shut up.

(insert big farting noise here)

Sure, NC. We'll do that.

There has been a veritable parade of folks who had clearances way higher than NC's across the tube the last few weeks saying the exact opposite. NC's not arguing with me. He's arguing with Eric Holder, former AG under Obama. He's arguing with Neil Katyal, former solicitor general. He's arguing with about four different prior heads of the CIA. He's arguing with Dan Coates, Trump's own former National Security director.

Oh, and yeah, he's arguing with Christropher Wray, the Federalist, Trump-appointed head of the FBI. It also just dropped on Politico that Alina Habba, Trump's all-star former New Jersey parking-garage lawyer, may have seriously stepped in it as well.

Re: I don't know what Trump's intent was

Aug 31, 2022, 1:14 PM [ in reply to I don't know what Trump's intent was ]

The legal experts seem pretty sure this is likely to happen. George Conway is basically crowing. He's said "the shortest distance between Trump and an orange jumpsuit is these documents."

The theme I keep hearing is that unlike the J6 stuff, intent and state of mind do not matter, especially since Trump went and signed that updated Espionage Act law they're now almost certainly going to try to hang him with. (If ever there was a karmic boomerang...)

What the legal experts are saying is, it's basically like a drug deal: if you get caught with this stuff in your possession, you're guilty, period. The Espionage Act is very clear, does not require either intent or classification but rather simply a threat to American security, and if you're illegally in possession of stuff you shouldn't have, it's off to jail for up to ten years with you. Obstruction is similarly clear: if you obstruct justice, it's twenty years because it carries inherent intent. Obstruction came into play when Trump's lawyers signed that they had indeed turned over all classified materials, and that's when he really seems to have stepped in it and hit the point of no return.

The legal eagles think this is where Trump is in particular jeopardy because his only way out of this charge is to throw his attorneys under the bus and claim they were the ones who lied, not him. Which in turn means his private lawyers are going to have to drop him and turn state's evidence to avoid that charge. Apparently defense attorneys always advise their clients that their civil lawyers will almost always turn on them to avoid prosecution, especially if there's questions of criminality involved.

They say basically: keep an eye on Christina Bobb, the attorney who signed that Trump had turned over all material prior to June. The second she quits Trump, it's a glaring red flag she's flipped to avoid disbarment and prosecution and Trump is well and truly hosed.

Aug 31, 2022, 3:39 PM [ in reply to Re: I don't know what Trump's intent was ]

Play along with me for a moment (I'm no lawyer and 'inquiring minds want to know').

Christina Bobb had signed off (as DJTs attorney) that all documents were turned over prior to June. Is it reasonable to assume that she meant all classified documents? Would she have any requirement to also certified that DJT had also turned over declassified documents?

(?) What is the 'formal process' for declassifying a document? We know that the President has complete privilege to declassify documents. How is that 'declassification process' administered? Who else (other than the president) must witness and record the declassification process?

This isn't intended to get into the weeds; the 'declassification / proof of declassification' process seems to be the elephant in this circus.

Re: Thanks, Gym.* How does 'photo release' help DOJ's case?

Aug 31, 2022, 3:49 PM

So why again did the DOJ publicly post 'evidence' that is part of their legal case against DJT?

Isn't that a peculiar thing to do after going through hoops to redact so much of their affidavit (so that the DOJ wouldn't have to 'tip their hand' as to what and why they had made the raid), to then broadcast a piece of their alleged evidence?

Why doesn't the DOJ just stop with the grandstanding and simply win the case (as they claim that will do THIS time)?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Thanks, Gym.* How does 'photo release' help DOJ's case?

Aug 31, 2022, 3:56 PM

Are they grandstanding or responding to public attacks that could literally get their field offices attacked by angry mobs?

I agree that the picture above isn't any kind of evidence on its own because it doesn't show what's inside each. But it's suggestive. Reports have come out that Trump stashed some of the stuff he tried to hide they found in between the covers of magazines.

And intriguingly: on the right side of the photo is a stack of framed magazines that look like they were taken off a wall, which suggests that's where they found those documents. In which case the message was actually for Trump himself - or his lawyers - and the message is: "we found what you were trying to hide, nice try."

The FBI literally has a psy-ops tactic they call "dialing up the a$$-pucker factor", especially when they're trying to freak a conspiracy out and get them to turn on one another. This could also be that.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Thanks, Gym.* How does 'photo release' help DOJ's case?

Aug 31, 2022, 7:26 PM

Thanks for playing the 'theory' game with me.

While I'm not convinced, in my humble (this time!) opinion, your theory isn't unplausible.

(*) A theory that works for me (and it's a humdinger / high risk theory) was put forth in a more recent new thread by Jimmy Hey Hey. Not to suggest that I'm right, but the 'high risk' theory is that the DOJ / FBI set a 'Trump bait' with the (ridiculous to most reasoned people) staged photo shoot in hopes that DJT would publicly counterpunch (as is his M.O.) and thus expose himself via his public comments.

Take a peek at Jimmy's post and think it over.

What we want is the truth, and not just another witch hunt. Let's see what happens (OK, of course that's what we will all do ... duh on me).

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Thanks, Gym.* How does 'photo release' help DOJ's case?

Aug 31, 2022, 7:45 PM

It's entirely possible. The Feds' Behavior Sciences division is really sharp, and I can bet you they've long-since profiled Trump.

They know he's got weak counsel - or he did have, until Chris Klise signed on with him yesterday - and they know he pays his lawyers no heed whatsoever. They love dialing up that metaphorical "a$$-pucker" factor when they're leaning on a guy and his associates. And they are obviously leaning all over Donald right now.

Are they goading him, on purpose, pushing buttons and hoping he'll pop all sorts of cookies he shouldn't? Could well be. That picture felt like a very pointed message to me, and obviously he responded to it. Badly.

At this point why would anyone believe any documents the FBI produced actually came out of Trumps house?

I mean, really, they need to have some sort of 100% uber-time-stamped video that shows the raiders going into the house and actually finding the documents.

But, I ask, how do we know the other crack FBI agent didn't put them there 30 seconds prior to the video?

Sorry, lefties. You have no credibility on which to stand.

Why don't you guys go and research the Duke Lacrosse case and then google Jussie Smollett. I'll look for the reports on those tomorrow.

At some point, don't you just get tired of making...

Sep 1, 2022, 9:30 AM

S*&^ up in an effort to try to protect/rationalize Trump's actions?

That's got to be tiring, right?

"Why don't you guys go and research the Duke Lacrosse case and then google Jussie Smollett. I'll look for the reports on those tomorrow."

Really...that's what you can come up with? 2 cases that don't have a single thing to do with this case? One is a single female making false report of being raped and one is a single male making false report of being beaten up. In your mind they stand as a great example of why the FBI must be planting evidence and the DOJ must be false pursuing Trump? LOL

Using your "rationale" everyone could claim to be being set-up because of what happened to the Duke Lacrosse team and what Jussie Smollett did.

Alright T3, we finally agree on something: "This place is like a bad soap opera. You can leave for a bit and come back right where things left off. Same TDS". We just disagree on what TDS is. To me, TDS is understanding the events of the past 1.5 years and deducing that the photo or the "raid" is the problem here. Karl Rove said it best yesterday on Fox when he indicated that classified or not, these documents are the property of the government, they should not have been removed from the WH(and he said that constitutes a CRIME under the PRA) and then he added that they should have been returned long ago. DJT was given every opportunity to return the documents without any fanfare/consequences. He CHOSE to try to keep many even after certifying that ALL had been returned in June. Yep, lots of the same folks on here suffer from TDS.

Btw, I saw no "Declassified" stamps on any of those classified documents in the picture and find it hilarious that nowhere in the 19 page response to the DOJ that was filed last night was any mention from the Trump legal team that these documents were properly declassified.

To be clear...are you saying that the pic is a fake?...

Sep 1, 2022, 9:26 AM [ in reply to Re: DOJ releases picture of stolen Top Secret documents ]

or are you saying it is abnormal to take pics of evidence before removing it from the scene?

I don't see how you can say it's completely abnormal...

Sep 2, 2022, 7:52 AM

to take pictures of evidence before it's removed. I'm not an investigator, but I watch cop shows (and I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night) and present at every investigation scene is a guy walking around taking pictures of everything before it's taken as evidence...right? That (and common sense) leads me to believe this is a normal, if not standard, practice.

"I have no idea if they’re legitimate or not and neither does anyone else. The FBI doesn’t have a very good track record these days."

I would take the trustworthiness of "The FBI" over "President Trump and his team" any day and twice on Sunday. Questioning if the FBI planted evidence and is producing fake photos for public dissemination is pretty dang close to being nutz in my book.

"Did you catch the news where a guy just had to resign after 25 years for covering for Hunter Biden?
"

And from that you conclude that no one can really know if these pictures are anything the FBI says or does about anything from now on is true or not. Really? Do you apply those same standards to everyone/everything?

You would think a stolen top secret document would at least have a crease indicating it was at least opened and read at least once.
