Mine was a travel case with (4) 3oz bottles that I could pour a few of my favorite bourbons in when I'm traveling. The bottles are small enough that you can travel on a plane too.

New dehydrator for beef jerky and a MyPillow. Never would spend $70 for a pillow. Slept well on it though

I bought a 3 day trip for me and my elderly Mom to Florida in mid January. Should be nice.

But don't feel sorry for me. I ask my kids to save their money. I'll ask them to pick up dinner on occasion while out and they use their money, which is a better gift.
My wife and I don't exchange gifts, figuring it is our money which doesn't need to be spent at the worse time. We'll spend it later on a trip or concert or an emergency car repair.
My father is in a care facility and can't do much, so he did not get me anything, which I am thankful for.
My brother and I agreed years ago to not exchange gifts.
I actually have found that the joy is in the giving anyway. If I have a want or need, I usually will scratch the itch myself.

Is this gift (pictured below in text format bc it’s not in yet) from my 20 yo step daughter who shares my offbeat and sarcastic sense of humor and my deep tendency to love a few close individuals I hold clear… in full disclosure this was received along with a serious, tear inducing sentimental gift… but this one had me rolling, laughing and thankful that God built a pretty dang cool relationship for me with her… enjoy 😆

For me, it was the first time I had both of my boys, their wives, and all 6 grandchildren in one place, at one time. Nothing unwrapped from a box could be better. Only 1 other thing was better, but I want push my religious choices on this post.
