What is Hunter Tyson doing…

to be such an effective rebounder? Insane numbers the last few games. 14 tonight versus PJ’s 3 and Schefflein’s 4. He makes them look easy- seems to always be in the right place. I assume it’s a technique thing, and hope he shares it with the rest of the team. The team rebounding is not great, but much better than earlier in the season.

Is playing like an All-ACC player. Nobody plays harder on both ends. He makes big shots and is an incredible rebounder.

Rebounding is positioning, anticipation, and timing, as well as having the athletic ability to go up and get it.

Oh, and want-to. You gotta have that, as well.

Tyson is doing all of those extremely well at the moment. Killer player for us right now

Rebounding and playing defense have a lot to do with effort and Hunter is always playing with high effort.

Him coming back for a fifth season is definitely paying big dividends for him and us. His confidence level looks through the roof. He's not getting rattled by slow starts and keeps grinding away til the end. Very inspiring.

having someone close to the basket when 3'S are thrown up. Can't get many offensive rebounds on those when nobody is even close to the lane.
