Watching pro ball and realized that Cade doesnt throw receivers open

He only throws to his first and second check down and then runs. I thought this was a part of Riley’s offense- the ability to create open spots between QB and WR. Of course many will blame it on the OL not giving him time.

Seems easier said than done.

It's about timing and placement, and that seems to make it as much about the receivers ability to be in the place at the right time, as it is about the QB. And Clemsom doesnt have many great receivers right now.

Unfortunately I have seen too many examples of our wide receivers quitting when the defender gets a little physical. The main guys I thought were a little soft were not the slot type guys, but I won’t call names.

When in the stadium, many times the WRs are open

Coming out of their initial moves. Sometimes replays capture this if from right angle/ elevation.

DJU had similar timing and selection issues.

It also doesn’t help when the o line doesn’t hold blocks long enough to let the QB get through his progressions.

Yes the OL was bad...for sure...But Cade is not a good passer and people need to accept that. Just watch the film.

Getting the ball out early with anticipation should actually help

alleviate OL issues a little. It feels like Cade is still processing the game pretty slowly. I was watching some 2018/19 highlights this week and it is striking how much better Trevor was at throwing guys open and also navigating the pocket. I know that was Trevor and we shouldn't expect Cade to be Trevor, but he has quite a ways to go before he's going to be a really good college QB.

Hopefully 2024 will be Cade's year.

No he didn't...the constant in his high school film was him scrambling and finding a WR that's wide open...He's always had zero poise in the pocket.

yes, you really do need an offensive line to be semi productive. Ya know, Dabo got a new OL coach for a reason. LMAO

He's already better than DJ and I don't remember you complaining about DJ.

You got this thing inside you, Rev. It's dark and condemning, threatening your joy and peace. You really ought to talk to God about it before it cost you more than you want to spend. You let go of it sometimes and your living gets better but when it returns it's like a raging lion seeking to your destruction.

You're only hurting yourself.
