For all the hype the performance on the diamond and gridiron hasn't been there

i just saw he was the 554th pick in the 2021 MLB draft

and he was like 153 athlete in FB


he performed and is performing as expected

Dabo just coach spoke you into thinking he was the next phenom

BINGO......Nike told the truth!!! Coach speak is getting worse every year, to the point we don't know what to believe anymore.........almost as bad as the evening news.

He was a Top 50 prospect for the 2021 MLB Draft. Draft selection was due to him not ruling out playing football.

Watched him last decade over in Irmo. He was pretty darn good. Not sure where others are getting their info. True, he was picked in the 19th round but he was the number 1 player from south carolina. That's pretty darn good.

But he was a tough out. This isn't the will I saw. In hs, his spray chart was every field. He'd take a hit to right as easy as to left.

So I'd say you're spot on. He just hasn't transferred from high school. Not sure what happened to his first step speed. Again, in high, he knew where the ball was going as soon as it left the bat and could make unreal catches.

As for Dabo. 1000% coach speak. He looked good in hs but no, he wasn't wru.

Any players that spent a season with Monte Lee have plenty to unwind with regard to mental side of hitting. Will is just not having a good season as compared to last. I wonder if he considers staying another year.

Remember he basically lost two fall seasons of baseball development. I think he played in the Cape league for the first time this past summer. I thought he’d bring more this season but it hasn’t happened.

He’s one of the only kids in a decade or more to turn down first round pick and the money that goes with it. Family is pretty well off.

Will was very raw in HS, then if you recall tore acl while playing for Dabo. Figured some things out his senior year and won state player of the year (co-poty with Cannarella who was a junior at the time).

Maybe lost a step after injury but they don’t offer first round money to chumps. He’s the real deal.

His problems are more mental than physical. This is the first year he hasn’t done football/wrestling or something other than baseball to balance things out. Now he’s 100% baseball, but in a funk.

3-3 with 3 HR in a game a while back isn’t bad.

Dude is a junior. I mean geez I know it’s late and I’ve been drinking but really? He hit around .360 last year 😂 your comment makes it sound like he’s a freshman or a sophomore that is struggling.
