In light of the schedule release for College Basketball, I have been wondering whether Dabo and Co. just lost a tightly contested battle against a top 5 FSU team, or was that the Morehead State Eagles that came in and embarrassed us at home?
I have seen more posts calling for Dabo's head this week than I have for Brownell in the past year. Perhaps we have just all realized that there is a massive disparity in expectations for these two programs.
Sometimes criticizing coaches is very much warranted - I hope Graham Neff can make Clemson basketball more relevant. I don't need a Final Four every year - I would be happy with the equivalent of a '10-win season' and a shot at the bracket (NCAA, not NIT).

Unfortunately Brownell is very likely to discover that he has been the largest single beneficiary of Dabo’s success. When football is going well the biggest boosters are fat and happy. When it isn’t going so well they want a head to roll. And it’s his that will be next on the chopping block.

Perhaps more silver lining will be Dabo creating an environment in which they will finally oust Brownell. Football hasn't been perfect this year and so many are ready for a head to roll.
Getting bested my Morehead State makes you pretty low hanging fruit. I hope to see something better this year, but the last 13 years tell me I am a fool.

Better not take 5 years to can Brownell - everyone around here swears we have been circling the drain since the natty against LSU. We have to be at least on year 3 of the 5 year scapegoat plan.

Even Donald Trump wouldn't be delusional enough to try and call the success that Dabo and the football program have had, and the LACK of success that Brad Brownnell and the basketball program have had anything close to equal.

Personally that's what I suspect, and/or they're trolls.
There's a noticeable amount of immaturity and lack of self-control to many of the rants. Not because they're critical of Dabo, but because of how they resemble a teenager's overly emotional response to not getting what they want.
I could be wrong. It could just be a bunch of people with mental illness.

1. Those calling for Dabo to be fired are trolls or idiots. That does not mean he doesn’t deserve criticism, so let’s just be sure we aren’t confusing the two.
2. Expectations are definitely different for both programs, and just to be clear I’m not for keeping Brownell, he’s a mediocre coach at best. However, how many of us on this board have attended a football game this year or intend to? By comparison, how many have intentions of attending a basketball game?
We as a fan base don’t support basketball the way we have ALWAYS supported football. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, it is what it is. So let’s not compare the football coach and basketball coach.

I've seen a couple unhinged posts over the last week suggesting Dabo should be fired. So, I have a better idea.
Please provide verifiable proof that there haven't been any posts suggesting Dabo should be fired.
That's your homework. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
