Updated ACC Standings, Schedule for Saturday.....

There was some shuffling in the lower seeds after BC won at Miami last night.
1. UNC (16-3) 2. Duke (15-4) 3. UVA (12-7) 4. Clemson (11-8) 5. Pitt (11-8) 6. Syracuse (11-9) 7. Wake (10-9) 8. Va. Tech (9-10) 9. FSU (9-10) 10. N.C. State (9-10) 11. Boston College (7-12) 12. Notre Dame (7-12) 13. Ga. Tech (7-12) 14. Miami (6-13) 15. Louisville (3-16)
Saturday's Schedule:
Notre Dame at Va. Tech 2:30 ESPNU....no effect on upper seeding.
Miami at FSU 4:00 ESPN2....no effect on upper seeding.
BC at Louisville 5:30 CW....no effect on upper seeding.
Clemson at Wake Forest 6:00 ACCN....will basically determine 4th seed/double bye for the winner. There's one scenario where a Clemson loss can still get 4th seed....but that requires N.C. State to win at Pitt.
UNC at Duke 6:30 ESPN....will determine top seed. If Duke wins, I think a Clemson victory would actually give them the 1 seed. Beyond that, UNC has some of the other tiebreaker advantages involving Wake.
N.C. State at Pittsburgh 7:45 CW....if Pitt wins (and Clemson wins)...a pathway opens for 3rd place with a UVA loss. If N.C. State wins, this provides a contingency for Clemson to get 4th even with a loss, as this would bring about a 4 way tie with Clemson, Pitt, Syracuse and Wake. Clemson would be 4-1 against that group...Wake would be 3-1.
Ga. Tech at Virginia 8:00 ACCN....a UVA loss could open up the door to a 3 seed. But otherwise, not much to see here.
Would be nice to watch a Tiger victory and not have to stay up monitoring the other games. But we'll see how it goes.
Going into the tournament...I guess you never know...but Louisville and Miami look completely done. FSU and N.C. State have limped down the stretch. Notre Dame has played better down the stretch. Ga. Tech strikes me as the team that would be a good candidate to upset a top seed, but could likely lose early to a lower seed on day one...they lack consistency. Boston College could pull an upset, will depend on the seeding. Virginia Tech is a hard team to read. They have finished decent enough. Syracuse gets the benefit of a full week off before the tourney. Will be interesting to see if that helps them. Wake has struggled down the stretch. Pittsburgh has been good...they will be a tough out. UVA has struggled down the stretch as well. They will be ripe for an upset if they are the 3 seed by whoever ends up as the 6 seed. I think the teams that can really win the tournament are UNC, Duke, Clemson and maybe Pittsburgh. I think everyone else, while certainly capable of an upset, is not really in a position to win 4 games in a row.

If we're the #4 seed, would much rather see Duke win the 1 seed, and play them

I know we got the win in Chapel Hill. But I'd rather get a shot at them for the title than in the semis.
I do think we potentially will have our hands full with Pittsburgh if they come out as the 5 seed and we are the 4.

If we win, we want Pitt to win, because we would have tie breaker for third seed if Virginia loses.
If we lose, we want Pitt to lose, so that we will have tie breaker for fourth seed.
If we lose and Pitt wins, we want UNC to win, so that we have tie breaker for fifth seed.
Let me know if you see differently.

We cannot get the 5 seed no matter what happens. If we lose and Pitt wins we're the 6.

You are right. I mistakenly thought WF and Cuse split but I see they only played one game and WF won.

I want us to win. Take the 2 game bye ourselves period. Tough sometimes teams w 2 day bye are slow and rusty. I dont think we will but time will tell.

Clemson has to win Saturday and it is a given that our Tigers are the #4 seed

The only thing bad about these senarios is all the teams need to win are the road teams.
All these teams are having their Senior Day like Clemson had last week and that can give you a strong emotional edge like Clemson had in the win over Cuse.
Its Carr's senior game at Wake the good power forward, and could be the last year there for their star wing Sallis who might go to the NBA Draft.
Its Senior Day for star forward Hinson at Pitt, and Senior Day for Beeakman the star guard for UVa.
It will be tough, but now that these Tigers are healthy they can do it!
