Interesting that it's almost the same ranking as that of the class of 2014.... Not saying it's the same kind of class.... It's just interesting....

Yeah, it'd be nice to stay in the top 15 but it doesn't matter. I like the comparison with 2014 BUT, I throw cold water on it because it matters not. In 14 we didn't have portal and nil.
If you look at our rankings and on the field the last 3 years have not been kind. Yes, our class rank looked good until you dig into it. We've crushed it on defense and that's really increased our rankings. Offense side, not so much.
Last, in these times, if you're not in the top 5 recruiting ranks, you're everyone else. Why, because a top 5 has plenty of immediate talent. We have talent, we invest 2 or 3 years in said talent, then they transfer. This, imo is where teams are being driven to use the portal and conversely nil.

Georgia had 20 top 300 prospects…and we have just 9? I’m not sure how you spin that as a positive. Our recruiting has fallen off considerably, even if it’s something that’s not discussed much on here.

We didn’t have spots as our team is very young and UGA could have the same class we have and be top five because they are UGA.
