It’s always a loss when players who have worked hard to play don’t get to,play.
As far as the Clemson DT unit, we still have 5 star power DTs to rotate. Maybe Caden Story can earn some snaps and become #6 in the rotation.

Yes, but we have good depth on that side of the ball, and it's really hard to miss what you haven't had any of yet. Get him healed up for next season, and he'll be like a super freshman with two off seasons and two spring games under his belt. Having a very talented 5 star that has already had a taste of what college is like, and that's a plus+++ anyway it's twisted!!!

He was never going to play this year anyway, he would've got his 4 games so he could RS at most. DT position is super deep this year with Davis, Ruke, Woods, Page, Williams, and Capehart. Burley will be a beast in the near future for sure tho.

First Tre Williams, now Vic Burley. Rats.
At least both are getting a full season to rehab after their injuries get fixed. If there had to be injuries, better to happen early so that they can be ready for a bang up season in 2024.
As we all know, DT had been our deepest position. It still is.
We have 5 no fooling studs in the rotation. Maybe Caden Story (a bit undersized for a DT) can contribute some snaps here or there at DT.

Yeah, I remember we were all going nuts when caden committed. I thought he might be playing by now. Good opportunity to make an impact.

Yep, and I really hope that Story has been using a lot of his time in the weight room and putting on raw muscle weight!!! Also, any true freshman coming into the FB program, I truly hope they understand t what a plus it will be for THEM and their college career if they will spend as much of their free time as possible in the weight room gaining strength. The weight room alone if they are dedicated is probably one of the best things, they can do for themselves if FB is the career they want. A strong body is the least likely body to suffer a lot of FB injuries....

I'm going to say this, I just don't think that if Burley does whatever it takes to get himself ready for next season, he won't be too easy for a true freshman to pass. In fact, if he does the right things that helps these guys to recover from an injury, honestly, I don't believe he will be passed over by a new recruit coming in regardless of how many stars they are considered to be coming in!!!

Hate to see him miss the season after putting in all the work. But they team has depth at DL the year and will need his talent going forward. Take the redshirt year over risk of further injury. There are brighter years ahead.
