With a 76.5 grade CK2 is clearly not the problem. He had defensive lineman in his face 45.5 percent of the time. His only mistake came when he got hit. No time to throw the ball deep with only two attempts. If the o line doesn’t get fixed and perform better. Georgia is going to be a long day at the office.

the intentional groundings. There are multiple problems with this offense that need to be addressed. Lack of playmakers, elite guys at basically every position. It’s has been painful to watch most of the year. They need to get better or find better players or it’s going to continue to look the same as the last 3 years on O. If it looks the same on opening day then the best we can hope for game 1 will be what we saw in CLT a few years back and hopefully without a pick 6 headed the other way this time.

We addressed the coaching, but did we address the talent?
And I guess it wide receiver we’re just gonna ride with the same poor coaching and development and Hope the two new wide receivers are way better than anybody we have?
It seems pretty clear that club neck could be a far better quarterback than he has allowed to be, and that will neither has elite level speed mafia, and Shipley could be even better if the offensive line wasn’t so bad.

Talent is there, it needs to be molded (coaching) and honed(S&C). We'll see how it plays out week 1.

I noticed that the lowest PFF rating for an OL player was Harris Sewell, with a ~ 53 PFF grade. Obviously, no other OL player had that low of a number; Gristan Leigh had the highest PFF grade of ~ 63.
Given that the team’s PFF grade for pass blocking was ~ 49, and that the team’ run blocking grade was ~ 51, then factors other than OL blocking were a bigger reason for the overall very bad overall team PFF blocking grades.
This underscores a key problem which Clemson Nation seems reluctant to publicize: Our TE blocking, for the entire year was dreadful, with the one exception being Sage Ennis.
My oh my did we miss Davis Allen this year. He was a blocking beast. (Also had terrific hands, which he used to great benefit to our offense.)
(*). I get it that our OL unit was not good, and strongly believe that the early season loss of Walker Parks at RG was a big factor, and that losing our best (maybe he was our 2nd best OL player … W.Putnam being the best) in Marcus Tate were too much for us to overcome.
C.Sadler looked pretty good filling in for Tate, although he (of course) is not yet as good as Tate (and I’ll admit to having not yet watched the replay of the KY game). Sewell just wasn’t ready this year; hopefully he’ll be ready in 2024. Paul Howard also got overwhelmed too many times, but maybe he’ll turn out to be good enough at Center next year. Mitchell Mayes was my biggest disappointment; maybe the deterioration in his play this past season was due in part to T.Austin coaching limitations?
All of this is to say that, if we can get good play out of next year’s Center, and if each of Leigh, Tate, Parks, and Miller are both healthy all year and are ready to make additional improvement (especially at pass blocking, then the final key to the team blocking problem will be for our coaches to find a way for our TE unit to block better. Heck, if our TE’s decide to block anyone next year, then it will be an improvement.

No offense Danny, but all these guys are poor performers including Putnam and Parks. Putnam has had bad game grades as a center and guard for three years. Parks performed well as a RT in 2021, and then last year as a RG was one of the lowest rated blockers on team.
Sadly, the OL is weak, immobile and slow and has been for several years. If Luke can coach these guys up or recruit and put them on the bench, the team will be vastly improved in 2024.

If we develop our OL to a much improved group, the ones out injured will help tremendously too, Cade will shine and find the WR’s.
I believe our WR room will get much better with time to run longer routes too.
