I’m just glad to see that Tennessee is still better than Florida. I was worried after Florida drug them up and down the field all night that Florida might be better than Tennessee. Glad to see I was wrong.

Polls don’t matter until November!
FACT, we have plenty of ranked teams on our Schedule! FSU, Notre Dame, UNC, Miami….
Losing to Duke means we can’t lose another game if we have championship goals.
Two losses and we are toast in the rankings. Same every year.
We have to win each game, each week, one at the time.
Each game is our most important game this year.
Start with FSU this week!

Yet somehow FSU only dropped from 3 to 4 despite being a BC penalty away from BC getting in position to beat FSU via a FG.
As long as the highly rated schools don’t lose to a mid-level team, then they don’t lose much ground when beating a mediocre team in a tight game.

At least they didn't jump right back in the top 4 the way they will by the end of the season. A playoff without Bama in the schedule wouldn't seem fair or natural

All that matters is finding a way to win! Polls do carry some weight, but this team has to face each game like it’s them against everybody and hit the man in front of you so hard he FEELS it on into next season.

I am not sure about that. I kinda think if we beat FSU that FSU falls to number 25 and we stay just outside the top 25.
I thought we played well enough this week to send the message that the coaching staff is getting things fixed and we even fell in the coaches poll.
I guess when you're hot you're hot and when you're not you're not.

No kidding, I love my Tigers, but FAU came out in the 3rd and 4th Q and whopped the Tigers, FAU is basically a DIV I High School Team, Tigers will have to have a 360 degree personality change to beat Florida State they "aint" no joke. I have a feeling the Tigers wont see the top 25 for a while.

So here’s one for you. Texas and Duke finished last season ranked 25th and 26th in the AP.
Duke opens with a top 10 win, most impressive win of the weekend (LSU is good but not great, FSU).
Both team undefeated with top 10 wins in 2023, Texas is now 3, Duke is…18th.
And yes, Duke has a better QB and everything else is arguable but I’d bet on Duke in a neutral site game.
