What’s wrong with Ga St?
We are talking a borderline 3rd stinger here. Excited for him, and he’s talented, but it’s not like he was gonna transfer to Oklahoma St or something and become a starter…

Ga St is a huge downgrade. No where near the presence. Yes, he was a 3rd stringer here, behind a potential NFL draftee (maybe 2). He has tremendous upside. He was very productive, when he had the chance

The kid just wants a chance to play and I can completely understand that. From the limited amount of times I got to see him on the field for us I think he will be a great addition

I can see this move…any move for QZ. May mean he thinks Ship will return (with probable Draft status a good idea), Mafa hitting his upside stride and good RB recruits in the pipeline…makes sense to me for a #3. I wish him the best! Know several GaSt grads who are doing great. Then there’s the bright lights & big city of ATL, that appeals to some.

Shipley is coming back, I don’t love this move.
If Shipley leaves he would definitely be seeing the field along with Mafah. Even if Shipley stays, give me two strong years at Clemson over three at Ga State.
But he knows his situation better than me. I’m sorry to see him go but wish him the best.

Patience is in short supply. He would have moved into a bigger role when Shipley and Mahfa move on, I suspect Shipley told the RB room he was staying due to low draft projection. Thomas will start at Gst. Loved his intensity. He will be missed!

Ga St. starting rb last season graduates after getting 90% of the carries for 1350 yards. DT will be the day 1 starter. Best opportunity for a former walk on to keep NFL dream alive is to actually get to play. Good luck to him. It’s up to our coaches to figure out the right depth per position. One of the biggest effects of the portal is its impact on depth.
