Every interview with the coaches or players someone mentions “fighting through adversity”. He said the young guys got thrown in there and fought through so much adversity. They had the opposite of adversity…the guy before them quit or left and there are no expectations for you so no matter what you do for the most part you’re going to be ok. It cracks me up all the “adversity” these young men battle every day in college playing the top sport at the top level where a lot of stuff is handled and taken care of for you.

There were a lot of ups and downs in that game but the team necpver quit and scored in the final minute to lead. The D then got another interception.to seal the deal. This team could have given up but hung in there. Proud of them and happy for them!

A lot of people in life give up or pout when things don’t go their way. They complain, blame someone else, shrink when someone points a scoffing finger at them (like you). These men are learning to battle through that. They are learning to take responsibility for their mistakes, learn from them, and get better. They are learning to ignore people like you who make fun of them, lift up their teammates when they make mistakes - support each other. The world needs more people like this and the coaches are using football as a way to teach them these lessons.

“Do your job” that is what it’s all about. Eleven guys on the field at once with that mindset will win games.

Season of adversity for sure. Super proud of how these guys responded and held each other up along the way.
Also proud of how they finished winning 5 straight and a “leave it all on the field” attitude during the Gator Bowl.
