Yeah, you know I'm pouting with Jacob's finish. One tournament in quite a while he drove the ball well, made 16/18 gir and the flatstick let him down. I blame it on too much tailgating last Saturday... he was posting quite a few pics in the stadium. He needs to make some $$ so he can afford more than cheap seats... jk 😜. He's probably too stingy. May have every nickle he's made.
Anyway, sadly all our Tigers will be way behind the cutline tomorrow b4 they start. Sam is staying away from the bad holes, he just seems stuck in neutral. Looks like he and Nimmer will have to earn it in the finals. Which, I was wrong. Thought this was the last tournament b4 the finals. So Jacob's got to make the cut.
As for the big boys. Doc and Carson both struggled with the flatstick. Doc made enough birdies to be leading but his scrambling was horrible. Carson, he made a mess out of the par 5's. But both are in the hunt. Proud of D.J. and JB for plodding around the course to finish in the hunt as well.
Kyle?? When's the last time he's made a cut. Not a good year after his child was born. Hopefully that's all it is.
Ben... he just is struggling with his driving and when he does miss a shot, Scrambling is his nemesis.
Better days tomorrow for All our Tigers and hopefully our ladies shoot fantastic opening rounds.

Bryson needs a great day tomorrow to make the cut, and then he'll need to keep climbing if he wants to extend his season. Only the Top 120 make it to the third KFT Finals event next week. So, he has some work to do.

Most of our guys, except Ben and Kyle were pretty solid and both Ben and Kyle are not so far back that a good round won't get them back on track to make the cut. Other than Lucas, our guys have just not seem to break out of a funk this year, from our golf team to the pros ...... except for our ladies team.
Interesting enough, on my flight from Chicago to Omaha on Monday, I noticed a bunch of slim athletic looking young men with Nebraska shirts or hats getting on my plane. One sat down in the seat next to me and I asked him if he played on the Nebraska golf team. He said he did and they were on their way back from the Knoxville tournament where out Tigers played. He was Nebraska's #2 player and a 5th year senior. I asked him about the Tigers and he just shook his head and said ........ "tough weekend for them". He also mentioned that they were very young and he thought they had the potential to be really good. I don't know if he was just saying that because I was a Clemson guy. He was really a nice young man, as it seems all of the college golfers I have met are!
