This whole pay to play argument is pretty funny when they

Oct 3, 2019, 4:40 AM

are interviewing a women’s volleyball player and asking her position on the matter. Of course she loves the idea! Yet no one has told her no one cares what shoes she wears compared to the starting QB. No one has told her you get paid on what you generate in revenue. Pretty soon, she’s going to get mad, as all entitled feminist do, and start screaming about injustice. She wants the SAME money as the star FB player. Can you see the implosion of this idea when there is no governing body enforcing any of this?

With a big smile on my face and popcorn in hand, I’ll watch how this turns out.

Now, we can't be sexist here. How about "GUYS" on the rowing team, or Lacrosse team?

The FUNNIEST thing about it is that Kommie Kalifornia is

the state arguing that college sports aren't capitalistic enough.

Truth is funnier than fiction.

^^^^^this is the only reason CA is pushing this. More tax revenue.

Although I am not certain how this rule will play out with Title 9, I think it is going to allow for athletes to go beyond their scholarship and make money with endorsements, pay agents to negotiate for them, and host their own media and sports camps. I do not think a lady softball player at Clemson will make as much money as Zion Williamson would have made, but she might be able make a few grand hosting her own softball camp.

I don't see how this is entitlement, seems pretty American to me.

That money runs short pretty quickly when all 15-20 girls on the softball team are trying to get people to sign up for their camp separately.

there won't be players to endorse once it destroys.....

college football.

Football & Basketball is what makes Athletic Departments earn a profit (for those ADs lucky enough to turn one).............if the "pay to play act" takes hold scholarship donations will slowly subside and it will negatively affect all sports from football on down.
