Wallowing around and nitpicking Dabo for saying that he was vetoing pass plays last night. Like he was calling all the plays…

Can you not give the man some credit? He learned his lesson from last year!

We all saw what happened last year when we got pass happy and abandoned the run with a lead. WE LOST!!!!

If he was vetoing pass plays last night he saved our bacon and he needs to fire his expensive OC. Everyone with eyes could see the passing game was not working.

It was crazy we went into the 4th quarter up 9 just like last year. I don't like playing not to lose, but it worked out perfectly last night.

I did point out earlier what Dabo said in his presser b/c it caught my eye, but after a few pointed out the wisdom of his vetos, I realized he was right. They couldn't stop the run and with how our defense and punter were doing, 9 was enough.

If we know going in that we need to depend on the run then why not switch and primarily utilize formations that give more running options and make it easier ( e.g. qb under center, multiple rbs, etc.) And play action off of that, rather than running out of a shotgun, 1 rb set which is optimized for a passing attack?
